CRO (Call Recorder Original) is a call recording application available for free, recognized for its comprehensive and advanced features within the Play Store. Among its notable functionalities are:

 <li>A Recycle Bin that facilitates the recovery of deleted files</li>
 <li>Automatic deletion of older recordings to manage storage</li>
 <li>The option to mark important recordings to prevent automatic deletion</li>
 <li>Multi-selection for actions such as deleting or sharing</li>
 <li>Manual (Pro) recording feature</li>
 <li>Password protection for added security of recordings</li>
 <li>Support for various recording formats including MP3, M4A, OGG, WAV, AMR, 3GP, FLAC, and MP4</li>
 <li>The capability to initiate delayed recordings</li>
 <li>Diverse recording modes tailored by number, contact, non-contact, or selected contacts</li>
 <li>A complimentary transcription service (English only)</li>
 <li>The ability to share segments of recordings</li>
 <li>Local Wi-Fi access for simplified backup processes</li>
 <li>Recording transfer between devices</li>

It is advised not to use CRO concurrently with other call recording applications. Users experiencing issues are encouraged to reach out for support.

It should be noted that some smartphones may exhibit limitations in call recording capability due to variations in chipset/CPU or Android versions on different devices. Users are encouraged to test the free version before opting for the paid application.

The application empowers users to record any desired phone call while allowing them to choose which calls to save. Users can categorize calls for recording or exclusion and can listen to their saved recordings while adding notes and sharing them. Integration with platforms like Google Drive™ and Dropbox facilitates cloud synchronization for secure storage. Google Drive integration is available for Android versions 3.0 and newer.

Recorded calls are conveniently stored in an Inbox with adjustable size settings. The storage capacity is limited only by the device's memory. Users can save important conversations into a designated folder, while older recordings will automatically be deleted when new calls occupy the Inbox. A Call Summary Menu can be enabled to provide options immediately after a call concludes.

Recordings can be searched by contact name, phone number, or notes attached. The application offers three default settings for automatic recording:

 <li>Record everything (default) – captures all calls except those explicitly pre-selected to be ignored.</li>
 <li>Ignore everything – records no calls aside from those pre-selected to be recorded.</li>
 <li>Ignore contacts – records all calls from non-contacts unless otherwise specified.</li>
</ol>
